I’m an illustrator and surface pattern designer with a background that spans commissioned artwork, editorial design, photography, manufacturing, retail, and brand development.
My creative career began with personal studio practice, followed by over a decade working professionally across photography, editorial publishing, corporate branding, and product-led design. I’ve worked both independently and in-house, managing projects from concept through to delivery — often balancing creative direction with technical requirements, commercial constraints, and real-world application.
Over the years, I’ve designed and delivered work for magazines, large retailers, manufacturers, small businesses, and community-led brands. This includes editorial and advertising design, photography, fabric and product support, sales tools, large-format installations, and licensed retail ranges. Building and running my own shop-based brand for six years further grounded my work in customer experience, consistency, and long-term brand thinking.
Today, Oh Flopping Fiddlesticks Studio is a focused, remote creative practice centred on illustration and surface pattern design. My work is story-led, thoughtful, and commercially aware — shaped by experience across multiple industries and a deep understanding of how design lives beyond the page.
I bring a dependable, adaptable approach to creative work, combining clarity, narrative, and craftsmanship to create designs that are both emotionally resonant and practical in use.
